About Us
Welsh Mountain Walks is based in the Tywi Valley at the western end of the Brecon Beacons. Ben McAllister operates Welsh Mountain Walks, and lives on a smallholding ideally located to access the Brecon Beacons and the Cambrian Mountains.
Ben McAllister is a fully qualified, insured and experienced Summer and Winter Mountain Leader. He has over 25 years experience delivering hill and mountain skills to all age groups and abilities and has a passion for the mountains both here in Wales and further afield. The Brecon Beacons, Cambrian Mountains and Snowdonia are well known to Ben. He has walked and climbed throughout Wales, the UK and Europe and regularly undertakes a Beacons Traverse. You can be assured you will be kept safe, treated with respect and helped to achieve your goals. When he is not in the hills, either at home or abroad, he works on his smallholding and woodland. Ben looks forward to meeting and sharing with you his experience and enjoyment of hill walking.
